Distinguished Friends of Canisteo-Greenwood
The Canisteo-Greenwood Central School District’s Partnership Committee is comprised of community members, teachers, support staff members, Board of Education Members, Administration, and the Superintendent. As the committee met during the 2014-2015 school year they sought to establish a process to recognize those that have contributed to the District in years past.
The Canisteo Greenwood School district has been fortunate to benefit from the involvement of many incredible individuals over the years. Many have gone above and beyond leaving a lasting impression on us all. The Partnership Committee would like to show our appreciation to these individuals by reinstating the Distinguished Friends of the Canisteo-Greenwood School District award.
The purpose of this award is to recognize an individual who has in some way significantly impacted the educational experiences of students in the Canisteo, Greenwood or Canisteo-Greenwood School Districts. With the reinstallation of this award an avenue to nominate an individual for this recognition is now established.
A nomination form is available on the district website or by request in the District Office if you are aware of an individual that you strongly feel merits this distinguished recognition. This will provide the committee with a snapshot of the individual’s influence. In addition, feel free to include any additional documentation and references that will further assist the committee in understanding the scope of the individual’s accomplishments. The nomination period will be opened annually from September through January with nominations returned to the Canisteo-Greenwood District Clerk by January 31.
We look forward to the opportunity to recognize and celebrate those who have shaped our school district into what it is today. Thank you for your part in this endeavor.
